Welcome to The Paper Cabin! We are a Canadian, women-owned startup dedicated to supporting homeschool families with high-quality, practical, and customizable resources. As certified teachers-turned-homeschool-moms, we understand the challenges of homeschooling and are committed to providing expert guidance, curated curricula, and thoughtfully designed materials. All of our own products are proudly written and printed in Canada, and while we currently use an international platform for distribution, we are actively seeking affordable Canadian alternatives. However, we also recognize that the best homeschool experience often comes from a mix of resources, so our carefully curated resource library includes recommendations from a variety of countries, always prioritizing content accuracy, expert authorship, and strong educational pedagogy. At The Paper Cabin, we celebrate the uniqueness of every child and strive to make homeschooling more accessible, enjoyable, and effective for families everywhere.​​​​
Our Story
​
We’re Carley and Lyndsay, two Canadian educators who are now homeschooling our own children. We met shortly after we both decided to homeschool, and became fast friends over the fact that we wanted to provide a more authentic and personalized learning experience for our children. After working in classroom settings for many years, we believe that education should be a journey of discovery, exploration, and creativity, and we strive to provide our children with a learning environment that combines curiosity and academics while fostering a natural love of learning.

As homeschoolers, we're able to use our values to guide the education we curate for our families. We are committed to growing our understanding of diversity, promoting and living inclusively, and exposing our children to high-quality educational materials that support their unique learning needs.

We’re passionate about authentic learning, and believe that real-world experiences are the best way to help our children connect with their learning and see its relevance to their lives. We strive to create hands-on, experiential learning opportunities and are constantly seeking new ways to make learning engaging, exciting, and meaningful.
Overall, we are dedicated educators and lifelong learners ourselves, who are committed to providing our children with a high-quality, personalized education that grows decent humans with consideration for all people, fosters a love of learning and nature, and prepares them for success in life.
